In January 2022, Serwema GmbH & Co. KG delivered one of the world's most powerful high-performance hobbing heads to the customer. A hobbing head - AWK M40. This completely new milling head is used on a 6-metre SCHIESS machine.
This high performance milling head is designed for HSS and carbide technologies:
- Spur gears with spur or helical teeth
- Non-genuine herringbone gearing using the hobbing method
- Single-part process
- Worm wheels in the radial process
